Vasiliki Michopoulou

Vasiliki Michopoulou holds a PhD in International relations with a “Stavros Niarchos Foundation scholarship”, MA on Policy Management & International Politics, a Biology degree and a module certification of Video/Multimedia, Data and Investigative journalism from the School of Journalism-Columbia University with a “Stavros Niarchos Foundation scholarship”. She  currently contributes as science journalist to Greek and foreign printed and digital media outlets, achieving exclusive interviews with Nobel laureates and experts in several scientific fields. She also teaches science journalism at the university, while giving workshops on science communication for young scientists. Her books entitled “The Bright Minds have no Homeland” on 40 leading scientists and “Ingenious adventures” on Nobel Laureates are unique in popularized science in Greece. She was awarded as the “Greek Woman Journalist of the year 2018” from the VOTRE BEAUTE Magazine, as the “Greek Science Writer of the Year 2017” by the Association of British Science Writers and nominated for the “European Science Writer of the Year 2017”. Vasiliki is an Ambassador of the Communication Institute of Greece (COMinG) and the only Greek journalist elected Board member of the International Science Writers Association (iswa). She is also member of Athens Daily Newspapers Journalists Union, of the Association of British science writers and of the Panhellenic Union of Bioscientists.

Vassilis Stamatopoulos

Vassilis Stamatopoulos holds an MEng in electrical and computer engineering and an MSc and a PhD in biomedical engineering. He is a certified project manager and innovation manager. He has triple helix professional experience having worked in public, private and academic sectors. He has been involved in several eHealth projects at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust. He has also University level teaching experience in information technology, medical informatics and medical instrumentation. Vasilis has also been the manager for the Hellenic BioCluster between 2008-2010. He is currently working for the PRAXI Network – Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) as a technology transfer consultant and national contact point for Horizon 2020. Dr. Stamatopoulos is also coordinating the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) – Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP) for health and pharma sectors in Greece on behalf of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT).

Nikitas-Spiros Koutsoukis

Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, University of the Peloponnese and is currently serving as Dean, School of Social and Political Sciences of the University of the Peloponnese. He is the Director of the Masters in “Global Risks and Analytics” and formerly served as Vice Rector for Finance and New Technologies (2016-2017). Academic coordinator of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence “Visualising, Analysing and Learning about EU Studies - VisuALEU” (2020-2023) and previously academic coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module “European focused Policy Analytics – EuroPolA” (2016-2019) at the University of the Peloponnese. Founder (2009) and coordinator of the Research Group “Political Technology” (http://politech.uop.gr) . Previously faculty member at Democritus University, Greece (2005-2009) and Brunel University (UK) (1999-2002) with lecturing appointments at the Open University of Cyprus, Greece (2015-2018), Hellenic Open University, Greece (2002-2015) and London School of Economics & Political Science, UK (1996-2001). He has worked for a number of years as an information systems consultant in the UK (1999-2002) and Greece (2002-2005) and as a researcher or project manager in projects funded by the EU, Unilever (UK) among others. He holds a Ph.D. from the department of Mathematics and Statistics, Brunel University, UK (1999) and a M.Sc. in Decision Modelling and Information Systems (1995) from the same university, with a first class degree in Accounting.

Clio Kenterelidou

Communication Strategist

Clio Kenterelidou is an Economist (First Degree: AUTh) and Communications Specialist (M.A.: Leeds University, PhD: AUTh). She is also, tenured Senior Teaching Instructor and Research Scientist (School of Journalism & Mass Communications, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) – Greece). Dr Kenterelidou has teaching and research as well as professional experience (20 years) in the field of Public and Political Communication. Her areas of special interest include Public and Political Communication, Communications Strategy, Public Relations and Participation, Communication for Development and Social Change. Dr Kenterelidou has produced various research papers in journals and refereed conference proceedings, authored chapters in books and edited collections and co-edited one collective volume (Environmental Journalism and Communication). She has participated in several international scientific conferences, meetings, collaborations and research programmes in the field of Communication, Journalism and the Media. Dr Kenterelidou is also professionally involved in lifelong learning and non-formal education and training (strategic institutions for executives of public administration and local self-government), and in election observation (EU, UN, OSCE/ODIHR), as an accredited and certified expert. Further, she is an Expert of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation (REA), for Communication (COMM) and of the Education, Audiovisual, and Cultural Executive Agency (EACEA) and as well as of the Hellenic National Center of Social Research (EKKE), the Hellenic General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT), the Hellenic State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) and for the European Communication Monitor (ECM: European Public Relations Education and Research Association/ EUPRERA & European Association of Communication Directors/ EACD).

George Kranias

Audiovisual production specialist

George Kranias is an audiovisual production specialist and founder of Vidi Media House company, working for two decades in the media as an editor (Analog editor, Avid media composer, Adobe Premiere), technical supervisor, director, filmmaker (DSLR cinematographer) and TV production manager in Greece and Cyprus not only as a good grasp of software editing programs and video and audio equipment but also as audiovisual producer and multimedia content creator. He has studied Video & Audio television editing and since 2000 he has been working for the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) and for Greek free-to-air entertainment and information channels like ALPHA, STAR CHANNEL, ANT1 and MEGA TV, and for the cinema. His portfolio includes entertainment and social shows reality and talent shows, documentaries and news bulletins, talk shows and commercials and TV spots. He has collaborated with creative Greek studios specialized in audiovisual productions such as Studio Kapa and studio ATA and with leading production companies operating in Greece such as Freemantle, Plus production, ENA Production, etc.), as well as with companies / suppliers of integrated audiovisual and television systems, as an official instructor (Avid official instructor), in Greece and Cyprus.
